A PGA Member since 1982, Kevin Anderson has been Director of Instruction for Woody’s Golf Range in Herndon, VA since 1992. During this time period he has developed instructional programs for individuals, groups and businesses.
Before coming to Woody’s Kevin’s experience included five years as Head Professional at Clinton Country Club in Clinton, Connecticut. He was also one of the first instructors at The Original Golf School at Mt. Snow, Vermont – a legendary pioneer in golf instruction.
Besides having fun, Kevin places emphasis on the fundamentals. “A player with a good grip, posture and alignment will always maximize the results of their efforts when compared to one who lacks in those areas.”
When he’s not teaching, Kevin enjoys competing in local PGA tournaments. He is active in the northern Virginia community, coaching Little League Baseball and Youth Basketball.
Whether you are a new or experienced player, Kevin has the expertise to help you achieve a new level of play. Group or individual sessions can be tailored to introduce new players to the game. Advanced players will benefit from Kevin’s years of experience, and effective use of teaching aids and video where appropriate.
Kevin loves to help juniors develop golf skills and an appreciation for the game. Junior Golf Camps and Junior Classes are held throughout the year.

Look in the Mirror
When you wake up and look in the mirror, do you see Tiger? Or Annika? Probably Not.
So why are you trying to bomb one over the trees to drive a par four??
Make your own plan – A to B, B to C, C to D.
That may come out to a few more strokes than the tour average…but I’ll bet it’s a few less strokes than you shot last time out!
